Paedophiles: What are they?

For all of you out there who have been living under a rock, pedophiles are adults who sexually abuse children. Well, at least in laymen’s terms.
In case you’re wondering, my ‘what’ in the title was not a grammatical error, since I consider pedophiles as the lowest of the low.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not disparaging anyone with the rock comment as it gives me more of a chance to sway you towards my way of thinking.
I have to clarify something, since it was mentioned in one of the comments. The correct spelling is Pedophiles and not pedophiles. Do checkout out the link, but be prepared. It’s black humor about a subject that should not be joked about!

The traumatic child

“The childhood shows the man, as morning shows the day.” Those were the words written by a famous English poet named John Milton. For those of you who don’t get poetry, it only means that early experiences will shape our personalities for the rest of our lives, and that any psychological issues we may experience in adulthood are a result of difficult or traumatic childhood experiences. There's also the newly emerged theory about how pedophiles are born and not made.

What do I say? I say “Hogwash!” People have been abusing this notion for a while now and quite frankly I’m not the only one that’s getting sick of it. While I’m not disputing that there are some merits to the theory, it does not give those sickos a get out of jail free card. After all, they do have the choice in whether to commit those crimes or not.

Anyone for the death penalty?

Me personally, I would go for stoning. To my delight, I found out that there are people out there that share my opinion. So I'm not the only blood thirsty one here. But since we live in a so-called “civilised society”, the death penalty will have to do.

It’s not just me; there has been a huge outcry for passing legislation advocating the death penalty for repeat offenders. The fact that they have reoffended after whatever punishment they were dealt shows that the punishment was not even close to dampening their sick desires.
These vile creatures were treated too humanly as a result of us living in a wannabe politically correct world. They learnt how to manipulate the system and our society. This manipulation gave them the chance to destroy another child’s life.

If prison doesn’t deter them then I say death will. Disregarding the fact that I have referred to them as “creatures”, they are fully grown adults that can tell right from wrong. They are aware of the consequences of their actions, as well as the level of degradation they have sunk into, no matter how much they try to justify those levels.

Rotting in jail?

What’s to say about life imprisonment, except for the fact that it’s one way to ensure that re-offenders never offend again? Life imprisonment has been the morsel of choice for people who do not subscribe to the notion that human beings should be put down like dogs.
While obviously you can tell I’m not for it; I can understand why there are good reasons for life imprisonment as punishment. The choice comes down to whether you’re pro-life or pro-death.

A rock and a hard place

I am a fierce advocate of the death penalty for repeat pedophiles, because to me it is the only feasible punishment for destroying an innocent.

On the other hand I can see where life imprisonment for repeat offenders is the more workable solution in our current society, considering the fact that the justicesystem does not always get it right. After all, who could forget the whole prosecution debacle of the “Kern County child abuse cases” in the States?

Have a think about this

In Islamic countries; before their religious laws got westernized; thieves used to have their hands cut of as punishment. And before you throw your hands in the air with an outraged cry, there are laws and conditions regulating the handing out of this punishment.
What I’m trying to get you to think about here is the fact that with this punishment in place, thievery levels went down noticeably.

Now, how about you mull over this concept in your head, but this time apply it to repeat offenders. Any thoughts?

Made up your mind yet?

Maybe, as a way to ease your future conscience, you would decide to go with life imprisonment instead of capital punishment. At least I hope, that is only until the justice system manages to pull it socks up and get it right. Mandatory DNA testing and no more hiding behind privacy laws. Wouldn’t that be something to see?

Just imagine, we live in a world where the justice system is just. First time offenders get heavily punished and 2nd offenders receive the death penalty automatically.
The theory about them being born that way and how they can’t help their actions; would not even have to be an issue. Don’t you think that that would be a great incentive for all of those pedophiles out there to curb their unnatural desires; even if it’s natural to them? For in spite of everything, they have visited a heinous crime on an innocent that does not have the mental capability to consent.
